Tips:

• Best places to stay are in Roma Norte (very walkable) Polanco is the “luxury” side of town, La Condesa. Centro has a lot too, but very very busy more locals and traffic)

•Traffic is bad, just prepare yourself when you go places with extra time if you’re driving somewhere.

•Super walkable city, so comfy shoes are good.

•Make reservations to everything (CDMX is such a busy city, very touristy but also very big so there are a lot of people that live there so wherever you can make reservations; DO IT!)

•Just like any other super touristy city, watch your surroundings. we heard that there are a ton of pick pocketer’s and thankfully that did not happen to us but some tips we think that helped were to: don’t always be on your phone, if you’re using your phone to navigate while you are walking around the city look at the directions first, memorize them and put your phone away. keep everything in your front pockets, side bags and fanny packs are your friends. If you are recording or taking photos outside of your uber BE AWARE our driver said a lot if motorcycle/moped drivers will snatch up your phone from your hands! Just be aware of your surroundings.

•UBER is your friend but if you can find a personal driver I recommend that too.

•Check out AIR BNB experiences, they have such cool things you can do as a solo traveler, couples trip or a big group trip. They will most likely provide transportation to further places)

•The air quality is not so great and if you have allergies don’t forget to take your allergy medicine. I forgot one day and was dying!

•(not for everyone but if you have bad gut health, or get sick easily) We take a pepto a day to coat our stomach. DO NOT DRINK THE WATER! TRY TO AVOID STREET FOODS (it sucks because everything looks so yummy but you never know how the food was prepared and if you can avoid getting sick - please do so, not fun at all)
